A consortium led by Defenders of Wildlife and The Nature Conservancy, the Oregon Biodiversity Project published Oregon's Living Landscape, an excellent natural history overview of the state. The book recognized a series of conservation opportunity areas, which had both high biodiversity and good opportunities for conservation improvement. They are noted throughout this book.
