Bibliography
To the best of my recollection and files, I have been published in: Ashland Daily Tidings, BioScience, Cascade Cattleman, Cascadia Times, Different Drummer, Earthwatch Oregon, Eugene Weekly, Forest Magazine, Forest Planning, Forest Watch Magazine, Greenlight, High Country News, Home Power, Not Man Apart, Oregon's Future, Oregonian, Oregon Times, Oregon's Future, Penn State Environmental Law Review, Range Magazine, Rangelands Journal, Seriatim, The Source, UCLA Journal of Environmental Law and Policy, Watershed Messenger, Wild Oregon, Wild Earth, Wild Forest Review. Most, but certainly not all of the articles are cited below (many with links).
From From August 1996 to January 1998 I penned a biweekly column entitled "On the Trail" for the Wallowa County Chieftain (some columns were occasionally picked up by other publications).
I have also authored two books:
• Oregon Desert Guide: 70 Hikes; and
• Oregon Wild: Endangered Forest Wilderness
I also publish an aperiodic series of Larch Occasional Papers on topics of interest to me (and I hope at least a few others).
I've also done numerous opinion pieces in most of Oregon's daily newspapers (some noted below).
The list of articles below is not comprehensive, being more complete in later years than earlier one.
