Follow driving and hiking directions to Mud Spring Base Camp (above). Backpack into the depths of Oregon Canyon by hiking 2.6 miles south to the head of the Mahogany Spring drainage. What's ahead is so inviting that you won't worry much about how steep it is going down (let alone returning). Before you is the incomparable Oregon Canyon. Return as you came.
