Oregon Map Starting Point: Christmas Valley

Drive 2 miles due east and turn north on Lake County 5-14C and follow the signs to Lost Forest and/or Sand Dunes. In about 16 miles you'll be headed due east and cross under a high-tension powerline. East of the powerline 0.3 mile turn south on a dirt road. Go 1.5 miles and park at the fence and interpre- tive sign. Fossil Lake is a very flat 0.4 mile due southwest.
